Welcome to Graines de Vie, an alternative school in Quillan, in the Aude region of France, which places the development of each child at the heart of its educational mission.
With 80 students, from kindergarten to secondary school, we adopt an active, non-directive pedagogical approach, incorporating the principles of éducation nouvelle. Our educational project is based on experimentation and flexibility, offering an evolving framework that encourages individual development. Learning is built on the interest and motivation of each student, evolving gradually and respecting their pace. We draw on methods such as Montessori, Freinet and Steiner, respecting each individual's natural learning processes.
Non-directiveness is at the heart of our approach, allowing students to freely express their emotions and interests. By choosing this different kind of education, our community of parents aims to offer our children a happy childhood, where they can blossom to their fullest and realize their innate potential.
